About  the NC FCS Education Foundation

The North Carolina Family and Consumer Sciences Education Foundation was founded in targets three major objectives:

Support:
To lend all possible support, both moral and financial, to Family & Consumer Sciences Education programs in North Carolina and to cooperate with those in charge of the Family & Consumer Sciences Education program at the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction.
 
Solicit:
To solicit, collect and otherwise raise money for charitable purposes: to expand, contribute, disburse, and otherwise handle and dispose of the same for such purposes related to the aims and goals of Family & Consumer Sciences Education. Included are contributions to other Family & Consumer Sciences Education entities or to institutions organized for the same or similar purposes; to assist in harmonizing and making more efficient the work of Family & Consumer Sciences Education.
 
Promote:
To address efforts of the North Carolina Family & Consumer Sciences Education State Staff towards growing, advancing, promoting, and improving Family & Consumer Sciences Education in North Carolina, including, but not limited to teacher professional development, curriculum development, technical assistance, partnership development, student engagement and achievement, and teacher recruitment.
